Colour spotting!

I went on a coastal walk from Bondi and noticed so many amazing people rich colours and textures which many mark making pieces could be inspired from.

The way I would approach using this image is to consider the translucency of the materials to use and how to layer them up. For example, you could have a base layer of an opaque material with all the darker thicker marks, then a semi translucent one with the mid tones and more random marks and finally a transparent layer with all the highlights. This kind of technique will allow you to experiment with different combinations of layers and gather a lot of different designs quickly.

I hope you enjoy this process as it is a very good way of accumulating fantastic ideas!
